சூரியன் தனது தேரை தெற்கிலிருந்து வட திசையை நோகி திருப்புவதால்  இன்று ரத ஸப்தமி என்று பெயர். இன்று காலையில் ஏழு எருக்க இலைகள் பச்சரிசி, அருகம் புல் மஞ்சள் பொடி பசுஞ்சாணி ஆகியவற்றை தலையில் வைத்துக்கொண்டு கிழக்கு நோக்கி கீழ் கண்ட மந்திரம் சொல்லி ஸ்நானம் செய்வதால் ஏழு பிறவிகளில்  செய்த பாபம்  அகலும். रथसप्तमी स्नान - अर्घ्य मंत्राः सप्त सप्ति प्रिये देवि सप्त लोक प्रदीपिके। सप्त जन्मार्जितं पापं हर सप्तमि सत्वरम्।। 1 यद्यत् सर्वं कृतं पापं मया सप्तसु जन्मसु। तन्मे शोकं च मोहं च माकरी हन्तु सप्तमी।। 2 नौमि सप्तमि देवि त्वां सर्व लोकैक मातरम्। सप्तार्क पत्र स्नानेन मम पापं व्यपोहय।। 3 इति स्नात्वा अर्घ्यं दद्यात् सप्त सप्ति रथ स्थान सप्त लोक प्रदीपक। सप्तम्या सह देव त्वं गृहाणार्घ्यं दिवाकर।। 4 दिवाकराय नमः अर्घ्यं समर्पयामि। ரத ஸப்தமி ஸ்னான அர்க்ய மந்த்ரம். ஸப்த ஸப்தி ப்ரியே தேவி ஸப்த லோகைக தீபிகே ஸப்த ஜன்மார்ஜிதாம் பாபம் ஹரஸப்தமி ஸத்வரம் யத் யத் கர்ம க்ருதம் பாபம் மயா ஸப்தஸு ஜன்மஸு தன்மே ரோகம் சோகம் ச மாகரி ஹந்து ஸப்தமீ நெளமி ஸப்தமி  தேவி த்வாம் ஸப்தலோகைக மாதரம்…Read more …
