The annual Sankara Jayanthi Celebrations was successfully held by the Sabha this year from 19.04.2015 to 06.05.2015. This year it was the 47th year Celebrations by the Sabha since its inception.
The first Five days from 19.04.2015 to 23.04.2015
The Celebrations started on 19th with the vidyarthis of our Veda Patasala participating in the Parayanam and Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam. Gow Puja and Avahanti Homam was performed on all the days. Bhashya Parayanam was done by Brahma Sri Gopalakrishna Sastry.
Akshaya Tritiyai was celebrated on 21.04.2015.
On Adi Sankara Jayanthi day, i.e. 23.04.2015, Pada Puja and Abhishekam to Adi Sankara Bhagavatpada was performed . Brahma Sri Gopalakrishna Sastry gave a brief discourse on Adi Sankara Bhagavatpada’s achievements and the significance of Guru Bhakthi.
In the evening, there was a grand procession of Sri Adi Sankara Bhagavatpada’s idol around the Chandragiri Colony in a beautifully decorated grand horse like carriage.
