z_page-20-Matale[1]Ganesha or Ganapati is an extremely popular and powerful God. He is called Vighneshvara or Vighnaharta, the Lord of and destroyer of obstacles. People mostly worship Him asking for  siddhi, success in undertakings, and buddhi, intelligence. He is worshipped before any  venture is started. He is also the God of education, knowledge and wisdom, literature,  and the fine arts.

Ganesha Chaturthi is the Hindu festival celebrated in honour of the god Ganesha, the elephant-headed remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings and wisdom.

The festival, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, shukla chaturthi.

Thank you

I had the satisfaction of performing the Vinayaka Puja with proper swaram, Matra Balam, proper pronunciation & proper sandhi:. In the Pradhana poojai, after Kalasa poojai, Ghanta poojai, Avahanam and before Shodaso Upacharam, Is it not required to perform “Pranap prathishtai”

Thank you Veda Bhavan for the above Service.

Thanks for the post, I usually download audio procedure to do vrata poojas but this time was different. The pace of the audio was so gud and the quality and clarity was extremely nice. I could utter each and every word said. Thanks.

Venkat · August 29, 2014 at 5:33 pm

Thank you. Like last time ( Yajur Upakarma), this too was clearly explained and the mantras were delivered in a easy to follow manner. A small doubt.. I used to follow the “vradha Puja vidhanam”. In that the ashtothrasadha namavali seems to be in slightly different order and may be with some other namas as well.
Just wanted to check if we can still use either of them.
Thanks again for your wonderful service.

As there was no proper guide to perform my beloved Vinayaka Chathurthi Pooja, it was always difficult to perform the pooja by just reading the sloka books. Your audio files are the varaprasadhm for people like us. Thanks a lot for your service.

V Vishva Raman · September 12, 2015 at 11:41 am

Please also mention the detailed procedure in the audio form for the second day punarpooja

DIWAKARAN · September 15, 2015 at 2:04 am

The introduction, explanation, pronunciation and speed have all been done with utmost care and purpose. With adequate publicity, almost all smartha brahmins, who were hitherto performing the pooja with mistakes, can now perform it correctly and without any difficulty. My suggestion is that the vaadhyar can tell the names of the flowers and leaves also. In some places, the disposal of akshadai and offering of argyam seem to be missing. I may be wrong. Kindly excuse me if I am not correct. My respectful regards to you all for simplifying the sacred work.
