The Sankara Bhakta Sabha was led by Veda Brahma Sri, Veda Bhashya Ratna, Salakshana Ghanapati, Sri Venkatrama Ghanapatigal for almost 4 decades in the service of Loka Kshemam. The many events conducted were impressive in not just their scale but also in the participation of Vedic scholars of the highest order. From the annual Sri Adi Shankaracharya Jayanthi, to the many Sahasra Chandi, Athi Rudram, Maharudram, Navaratri Utsavams, Srimad Ramayana Navahams, Srimad Bhagavatha Saptahams, Sampradaya Bhajana and many more, devotees had the opportunity to experience the magnificence of our Vedic texts and joyousness of traditional celebrations at their undiluted best.
Sri Ghanapatigal brought to the forefront, a far-reaching vision, astute administrative skills, an inclusive approach, tolerant leadership, uncompromising excellence, transparent accountability, conscientious utilization of resources and embracing the best that modern technology could affordably offer. His considering of the Trustees from other walks of life was of utmost humility, regard and respect. An exalted teacher, a Guru par excellence, Sri Ghanapatigal was ever the curious student. He strove to understand, appreciate and adopt prudent processes for effective administration of the Sabha.
He would value every suggestion and discuss it with the eagerness to implement within the shortest possible time.
Sankara Bhakta Sabha – Devotees, Management & Staff pays its homage to Sri Venkatrama Ghanapatigal, who attained Shivaloka on 10th July 2020, at 5:40PM, at Hyderabad.
We seek HIS guidance to continue with the activities of the Sabha with more fervour and vigour, with the conviction that it is only Sri Ghanapatigal’s physical presence that has been denied to us – his presence can be felt in every thought, word and deed of the Sabha. He was a spiritual Guru to devotees from Hyderabad as well as all corners of India and the world. While he is not amongst us physically, his principles will be upheld going forward, and we seek your support and his blessings in continuing the good work. This is what Sri Ghanapatigal would have desired.

I have never come across any person as simple as ghanapatigal. His soul purpose in whatever he did, as per my comprehension was, HOW TO HELP others. A selfless person, humane and any one who comes across him can never forget him.
While it’s a big void crested Iam hopeful that it would bd filled bhi the Almighty
I miss him but am sure his blessings will be on all of us.

శ్రీ వెంకట్రామన్ గారు నేటి వేద విద్యార్థులకు ఒక ఎంతో ఆదర్శంవంతమైన వ్యక్తి వారి జీవనం ఒక వేదనాదముగా తోస్తున్నది శ్రీ పరమాచార్యుల వారి ఆదేశానుసారం ఒక పాఠశాలను ఏర్పరిచి ఎంతోమంది విద్యార్థులకు వైదికమైన జీవనవిధానాన్ని పొందుటలో కారకులయ్యారు నేడు బాహ్యప్రపంచంలో విరాజిల్లుతున్న వేదపండితుల సమూహమే వారి కృషికి నిదర్శనమ్ కేవలము వేదమే కాకుండా మరిన్ని భక్తి కార్యక్రమాలు శాస్త్ర చర్చలు విద్వత్సభలు ఏర్పాటు చేసి వేదం వాజ్ఞ్మయం వృద్ధి చెందటకు ఎంతో కృషిచేశారనుటలో సందేహమే లేదు వారు భౌతికముగా మన మధ్యలో లేనప్పటికీ వారి విధి విధానాల రూపంలో మనతో ఎప్పటికి ఉంటారు వారిని ఆదర్శముగా తీసుకుని వారి బాటలోనే మనము నడవడం వేద వాఙ్మయ వృద్ధికి మనకు శ్రేయోదయకం….

Our humble Namaskaram’s to Mama and heartfelt Condolences to his family. May his wonderful memories and advice give courage to his family to overcome the grief. I met Mama in 1998 when my father-in-law Shri Ramasubramaniam (Habsiguda St.No.8) introduced me. Since then, I have attended various Vedic functions and had the opportunity to take blessings from Mama. His dedication and committment to Veda Rakshanam as wished by Maha Periyava will always be remembered by the Scholars, community, students and family friends associated with Veda Bhavan for years to come. I was happy when Mama received award from President. Like Maha Periyava, Mama always practiced ‘Mounam’ and spoke only when needed. His Love for teaching Veda to his students, giving Annadanam to devotees and committment to Sanatana Dharma will be felt always through his blessing from heaven.
